A dirty white tile or bad calibration could cause the device to read  
white as Cyan, or even Black.

DataColor does not offer repair options for our line of affordable  
devices; it just doesn't make sense. If your one year warranty is  
still in place and your hardware proves faulty, you'll get a  
replacement unit for free

If not, a new strip reading version is $339 US at list price, and if  
you looked around on the web, you should be able to find a remaining  
patch-at-a-time unit like you currently have for less (though I'd be  
tempted to go for the faster strip reader!)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
