The profile being attached is seldom a problem; if it gets assigned successfully in the first place, it should remain assigned (typically it's weird stuff in the Windows directory that causes the Windows call for assigning a display profile to fail; if it succeeds, it should be fine indefinately). But being sure your video LUT data is flashed is perhaps a bit more of a concern. Watch to see that a visible flash occurs after startup. Then you can launch Spyder3Pro or Elite, use the menu shortcut to go to SpyderProof, turn the video corrections on and off, and view the test images, to see that the grays are neutral, etc... when they are on.
