Re: [colorvision_group] Re: Monitor

2009-02-08 by J Zachary

On the same topic, what would be some recommendations for GOOD printers up to a price range of about $500-600?

I'm also looking for a pair of monitors that work well with Spyder3. I have separate video cards for two monitors and I work in Windows XP Pro SP3. I would be willing to spend about $300 each for the monitors.

Also does Spyder3Studio work in a 64-bit environment like Vista Ultimate?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations on both of the above.

Well, this is the ColorVision list, so the obvious answer is Spyder3Studio, which will calibrate your displays, and profile your R1800 for most any media. Just be forewarned that the R1800, even with custom profiles, is still a bit weak on B&W, since it does not include gray inks. You can get B&W prints, but under differing light sources, their neutrality will vary.

No doubt - no end to it all.
O.K., I9;m looking for recommendations - I guess I need the system to calibrate BOTH monitor and printer - 1800 Epson. It needs to be simple, for me!
Thanks, and the best place to purchase?
It is appreciated
