PrintfixPro green Prints R1900 David Tobie

2008-07-30 by goesta_b

Hello David,

I really do not know anymore whats wrong, or what i make wrong
profiling my Epson Glossy Photo Paper with Printfix Pro and
SpyderPrint3.5b9.
Its my X-try printing targets and profiling. First i not noticed,
because i printed only color and perhalps i have not the good light to
judge the prints, so i have to wait for daylight to see actual results.

Now that i need to print some black and white pictures the prints have
a green cast.

I try to eliminate sources of errors one by one, but ...

 - in the beginning i profiled the 225 Patch with extended grays - but
i switched to the normal 225 Color target, to eliminate another cause
of errors ... it should give me a "o.k." black & white print, or?

- I printed the targets both ways, from SpyderPrint, with ICM no
Colormanagement in the Epson Driver ... Another try was to print the
Targets directly from Photoshop With no Colormanagment from CS3 and
ICM NO-Colormanagement in the Printer Driver.

- I use the same Paper settings and Print settings for my Prints as i
printed the Targets (ok now with the my Colorprofile)

- I calibrated the Spectrometer on the white target in the base as
instructed

- I check the nozzle print

- I let the Target Prints dry

- when measuring the targets i put blank papers under the the measure
print to avoid measuring my table :)

- I exam the measured Targets and compare them to the Pure targets,
the measured are darker, but i see no errors, maybe i miss something,
but for judgment they look o.k..

- I choose the easy profiling in the Spyderprint program to eliminate
User Errors

- i search the forums ..... i read a lot of advices from you here and
on Dpreview and watched the videos on the website. There was a similar
Post with a Canon red results and a bad Target Print - i followed your
advice to check the Targets but maybe i miss something!

I am lost somewhere .................

I think i need help ! Its getting really frustrating! I would love to
send you the measured file.

Thanks in advance,
Goesta
