Test Print problem PrintFix Pro

2007-09-29 by digibud99

I have an ipf5100 on order and plan on using a variety of papers so I
bought PrintFix Pro to generate some initial profiles. As part of the
process for creating a profile you print a test quadrant. I am using
an Epson2200 and the test prints have a sickly greenish tinge as if
they are double color managed. I am selecting the correct paper type
in the Epson driver and I am setting the driver to No Color
Management. My monitor is well calibrated using a Monaco spyder. My
normal prints are pretty darned good when printing from Photoshop and
using the Epson profile; I'm just trying to get a handle on the
PrintFix Profile software. Since No Color Management is chosen in the
Epson driver and there are no other selection options within the
PrintFix program, I'm at a loss as two what may be causing this
apparent problem. Any guesses? (I have sent a msg to the folks at
PrintFix Pro but sometimes those kinds of replies take days). I'm on a
Mac Pro FWIW. I can't imagine Photoshop (which remains open at all
times on my machine) can be influencing the printer but something is
causing the printer to do this.
I signed up for yahoo groups for this but won't ever be
checking the yahoo email address.
