cotton? I'd also be interested in purchasing profiles for silk, both
Dupioni and Habotai. Again, I'm on a PC printing on an Epson 7800.
Cotton is no more just "cotton" that paper is just "paper"... you
really need to have custom profiles built for the specific fabric in
question. PrintFIX PRO licencing terms do not allow for the selling of
profiles, but they do allow for providing profiles to consulting
clients. I assumes someone on the list might be interested in
consultiing with you on such a project. But for $500 you could get the
system for youself, and be able to profile any medium you care to,
whenever you want. That would also allow you to experiment with finding
the best media setting, and making any necessary edits to the profiles
after creation; for unusual media such as fabrics, edits are commonly
necessary, and are best done with the printer and fabric directly at
hand, not remotely.

Well, in any case, thank you John for telling me about this group.
I should probably look into buying PrintFix. Yes, you are absolutely right,
I'm printing on cotton broadcloth now, but what happens when I change to cotton
voile, or cotton sheeting? You bring up a very good point. Why I didn't compare
it to different papers, I don't know!
I'll have the same problem for the silks that I use.
Thank you for your comments and steering me in the right direction.
Joanie
