Are you just wanting to create a 'linked patch'? If so, then the process is easier than you're attempting. Simply create the patch. Use the link upper/lower/unison to get the sound you want. For instance, if you'd like to have patch A1 on the lower part of the keyboard and B2 on the upper part of the keyboard: Select A1 Press "Link Upper" (led blinks) Press B2 (Link Upper LED blinking stops, and stays on). Now, if you play - you should hear A1 on the lower keys and B2 on the upper keys. To save this setup, simply select "Upper Function", "Store Program." Now, whenever you recall that patch, it will 'remember' that the link program is "B2". (The 'store link' command is to used separately store just the link program).
