Plan B Low Pass Gate Question

Plan B Low Pass Gate Question

2013-07-17 by woof_dave

Just stuffing my boards, and I noticed the PCB marking for the source and drain of the 2N3819 is reversed from what I see on my Fairchild 2N3819:

...so I'm not clear now which way round this should go...

If I mount it matching the outline on the PCB, the D & S legs will need to be reversed....
No mention anywhere though of this part needing mounting backwards, so can anyone shed any light?

The 2N3819 is a symmetrical FET. source and drain are interchangeable.
