pcb switches

pcb switches

2007-01-11 by Andrew Scheidler

In building the Gate Sequencer switch board, I'm thinking I should mount
the switches in the front panel (not tightly, just snug), lay that face
down, then place the PCB onto the switch pins and solder.

Doing this would ensure that things are lined up properly when
soldered... is this a good way to do it? Or is there a potential
problem I'm not foreseeing?

thanks!
Andrew

Mount the switches on the PCB first, but don't solder them, then push the
assembly through the panel etc. When you are happy, solder the switches then.
