Need service manuals for MT,PT,VL,CT-keyboards. (pinouts)

Need service manuals for MT,PT,VL,CT-keyboards. (pinouts)

2013-04-19 by CYBERYOGI =CO= Windler

Has anybody service manuals for early 1980th Casio keyboard variants?

I am researching hardware differences and mainly search for IC pinouts in schematics. For my late 1980th stuff (SA-variants etc.) I found online plenty of similar service manuals (only the CT-840 CPU is still not found). But with 1980th squarewave instruments I found very little info (except the booklet on Robin Whittle's website), and the so-called VL-1 "service manual" even lacks schematics.

Has anybody here service manuals of earlier Casio (or rebranded variant) keyboards? Especially the Symphonytron 8000 and most MT, PT and VL schematics would be welcome.

I have a bunch of Casio service manuals (and others) on my band's website - maybe some of them might be useful??

And also here is a good site:

Hi Christian and Graham,

Thinking of it I have a fair share of them as well (PTs, MTs, CTs)
but I have no website or repository right now, so at this moment they siit on my disk
I could just use a dropbox for that purpose temporarily however
Unless there is a more practical way to upload them somewhere ?

I could use a Service Manual / Schematic for a CT-360 if anyone has one...

I don't see that one on your site Graham. :-(

Hi Joscelyn,

You can email any of the service manuals to me, and then I can put them up on my bands website. I'll then leave a tag file in the appropriate folder here in the yahoo group with the URL for the manual, to save running out of space here.

Cheers, Graham

Hi Graham,

All right, I will do that.
there are over 2gb of data, let me know if you want me to focus only on manuals (user / service)
It is great if you can have and share them since I am unable to do so
(there may be repeats with what you have however)

I already found these:
http://www.warningwillrobinson.com.au/manuals
http://elektrotanya.com

I downloaded some of these for comparison, but they have no MT or PT service manuals nor anything that old (beside famous synths).

Is CT-360 an MT-540 hardware variant? (CPU= "NEC D938GD 005") Then try the Casio DM-100 service manual.

That's a good question. I don't know if the CT-360 is like the MT-540. I'll take a look at the DM-100 Service manual and see if anything's applicable.

Meanwhile, here's another site with a lot of old manuals, mostly user manuals:

<http://generror.wordpress.com/2010/07/04/casio-keyboard-manuals/>

They have the CT-360 user Manual, which I already have...

You might want to grab whatever you don't already have Graham. :-)

Re: Need service manuals for MT,PT,VL,CT-keyboards. (pinouts)

2013-04-21 by CYBERYOGI =CO= Windler

Most interesting to me would be service manuals of these Casios:

VL-1
VL-5

PT-30
PT-50
PT-80
PT-82/PT-87
PT-88
PT-100

MT-45 or MT-11/MT-20 or MT-21
MT-52
MT-60
MT-65/MT-68
MT-70
MT-200 or MT-90 (or MT-36)
MT-210
MT-500
MT-520
MT-540
MT-800 or MT-85/MT-86
MT-820 or MT-88 or CT-805

CT-410V or MT-400V
CT-840

SK-200/SK-2100
SK-100

Casiotone 201
Casiotone 202
Symphonytron-8000
CT-7000
Casiotone 1000P

KX-101

LK-30

In lines with multiple names they are variants of each other. With "or" in a row, the first is most important to me.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
