Thanks. I've added one additional mod. This one was more complex (I'm getting braver!). My biggest complaint about this keyboard has been the lack of a dedicated "Line Out" jack. The hybrid Headphone/Line Out jack is too hot for most applications. I bought a 20db attenuator, which helped, but the headphone amp still adds some noise. I'm getting ready to record my first CD, so I wanted to get the best sound I could. After looking it over, I (incorrectly) made the assumption that if I swapped out the circuit board in the back with one from a WK3700 (that has the Line Out ports) it would just work! Well...I got a hold of the part fairly cheap ($18), so I decided to try it. Desoldering and re-soldering the ribbon cable was the hardest part...and I was sorely disappointed when it didn't work. Then I decided to trace the circuit board that this one connects to and found that it's missing components (doh!!). I was just about to give up when I remembered there was an old mod for the WK's I heard about where you could tap directly into the volume control to create a line out. The problem with that mod is you get separate L and R jacks...but you don't get the L/Mono option (and when I play live I ALWAYS go Mono). Luckily, the circuit to merge the R and L ports was on the circuit board I bought from the WK3700. So, all I had to do was bridge the connection and bypass the board that the ribbon cable connects from. Turns out it was really easy! The connections are right on top...2 on one end on the board that sits on top of the volume control and 2 wires soldered where resistors sometimes go on the circuit board I bought. It's almost like someone planned for it. I REALLY think this will be my final mod on this keyboard. I also think I'll never get rid of it...regardless if ever I buy something to replace it. I'll be buried with my MD4072! ;-) --- In casiocollectors@yahoogroups.com.au, "dr_this_n_that" wrote: > > Heck Yeah!!! cool mods for sure... > > --- In casiocollectors@yahoogroups.com.au, "montequi" wrote:
