Hi Joscelyn! 

Yes that was the picture I saw that made me think there was a rack - I wonder if it was a production model??

Casio FZ cable - OK, I know about this. I believe you need a male/male cable, but the wiring is NOT the same as normal PC to PC cable.

Check with Biggi to find out if this cable of hers has been wired in this way. Apparently you can do damage to the FZ if it is not correct.

I have put a schematic of the cable in the FZ folder in the FILES section, as well as the dumping program FZ dump used to communicate with the FZ and the PC. I have NEVER tried to use it yet because I haven't found anyone to confirm that my drawing is correct - I haven't been game to try it until I do. If Biggi actually has a working cable, then maybe you can confirm these pinouts.

If this setup can be confirmed to work then this is a holy grail for the FZ because all the FZ samples can now be stored on PC instead of FZ floppy - and with the parallel connection instead of MIDI, the sample sumps will take seconds rather than minutes with MIDI dump. I hope we can crack this, I've been waiting years for this!
