In any emulation mode the BCF basically "becomes" the emulated device,
i.e. it stops providing nearly every standard BCF feature. You can
only set some of the Global Setup variables, but you can't assign
anything in terms of presets/encoders/buttons/faders. For more
information see e.g. "BC MIDI Implementation.pdf" vs. 1.0, p. 131.
