That was my point, you can only send 8 tracks on the midi ports.  Nemo gives
you two independent midi buses with 2 jacks each, the P3 has I think one bus
with four jacks and din sync.

The original inquiry is about why he can't send out 16 tracks, or the ones
9-16, after using 1-8.  I often set a K2000 to global receive and use it to
bend and slur everything in an orchestral setting.

well, without wanting to be rude about it, this is from the *manual*:

"P3 is a pattern-based, 8 track hardware MIDI sequencer."

that might go some way to explaining why "tracks" 9-16 don't seem to be transmitting midi data!

I often use my two P3s on the higher numbered channels without difficulty, & use a midi router to take care of filtering &c. 

but I haven't managed to get more than 8 tracks playing at once except by using them both at the same time. :-)
