Thanks for the replies, guys. WT's comments caused me to take a more scientific approach to the problem, by recording all the synths into Logic and comparing note start times. To make a long story short, after decreasing Logic's buffer from 1024 to 64 it became clear that the P3 is rock solid with all the synths except the Waldorf Xtk, which plays early. I'll put the same question to the Waldorf forum.

Off topic: WT, since I know that you are "a guy with a bunch of blue things", I thought you'd be interested that there was recently a Waldorf Wave sold on Ebay, where the seller embedded a video of the thing. The SOUND of the thing really floored me, absolutely gorgeous. Here's a link to the video:

He starts playing at 4 minutes.

20 milliseconds would be 1 MIDI clock tick at 120bpm.
Does the apparent delay vary with Logic's tempo ?
I can't remember there being any MIDI clock bugs in P3, but it's possible
there is a scenario in which the first tick is missed, which would put it
  behind.
I recently saw an MFB Tanzbar, and it has a bug where the MIDI start is
treated as a clock tick, which puts it 20ms ahead if you're running at
  120bpm or so.
I don't think all that other equipment could be doing that though.
Which P3 OS version are you running ?

  Cheers,
  Colin
