This is one I'm sure you'll have come across too, but as I've recently acquired a Drumstation, I've been doing quite a lot of x0x-type programming of percussion patterns. I've set aside 6 tracks dedicated to the Drumstation and my patterns trigger the default notes - C3 IIRC. Then, to set which drum voice is triggered per track, I use the bar transpose feature - very fast to set to the instrument you want; then it's jus a matter of tweaking the velocity, setting the steps on/off, and away you go. Logically I put track 1 as kick, track 2 snare, track 3+4 high hats etc. with a couple more for toms or other percussion. It's groovy that you can have patterns of different lengths of course but at the simplest level it works for me... (helps that I have three P3s of course) :) -- Paul --- "Effectus super absolutionem" http://www.JointIntelligenceCommittee.com http://www.myspace.com/jointintelligencecommittee
