P3Tools does make this sort of thing very easy to do. I don't like computers in the studio either. My PC is not in the same area as the music gear, but is connected in by some 6m MIDI leads, and only used for bulk dumping, firmware uploads and MIDI monitoring during development. The main P3 Tools display is split in two, showing two 'virtual P3 dumps' in the two halves. You can copy and paste whole banks between them (or whole tracks, individual parts or patterns). If you want to compile banks from different saved dumps into a single dump, you load each source dump into the upper window, then copy and paste the required banks into the lower window in the desired order. Then you can dump the lower window back to P3 and/or save it for later. The visual clues as to what is in each bank make this easier to work with too.
