Hi all

Hi all

Hello there,

I am new to the group.
I just bought a S1100EX and was wondering what OS to use with it.
Is it 1.36 or can I use the latest 4.3?

I still have to get a S1100 to actually use the EX but I'd like to be
prepared. ;-)
TIA

i'll probably look in to getting an EX once my s1100 arrives - should be some time this week (along with a yammie sy77)!

though, knowing my luck, the this puppy might have only 2mb ram & i'd have to spend some money there!

}:-)

I have an EX that I acquired awhile back; I haven't had time to try it
out. I have OS4.3 on SCSI and OS2.2 otherwise. I could try to hook
it up in the next few weeks... would it help or are you making
progress?

Re: [EX1100 functionality

I have an EX and found that it worked according to the
manual with either the standard S1100 or with it
booted from the 4.3 floppy.
It didn't work with my S3200, but interstingly, after
I had loaded it with samples and done all the other
front end stuff, it would play without the S1100
connected, it seems to have all the functionality of a
S1100 without any way of accessing the controls.
Not sure I need it now I've got all the other stuff,
the S1100 wasn't mine anyway, I just borrowed it to
test the EX with.
I am in London though, which seems to be awash with
this unfashionable stuff, i.e. nobody wants to pay a
real price for it.
I'm old enough to remember a similar situation with
Sunburst Les Pauls, pre-cbs strats and AC30's. That
won't happen again though.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
