entrance to exit

Hello to everyone, I've just joined the group and so I am leaving
the requested message.
I recently bought an S1100 for a mere £40. I've been making music of
some kind or another for 15 years (I might go through my music
history some other time)and have used many different types of
machine, but even from the age of 15 (half my life away now) I
dreamed of one day putting a beautifully creamy white Akai sampler
in a set-up, and so when a forty quid one pops up you don't hesitate.
As you might expect the backlights gone and no manual (that seems to
be a common problem around here) but it's in working order otherwise.
I've not actually set it up proper as yet (I'm decorating the room
don't you know) but it will be up within the week.
I've downloaded the S1000 manual but alas it leaves out some things
for the S1100, most notably effects. Was this ever resolved around
here, did anyone get round to scanning the missing pages or discover
a web-site to download from?
Or will I just have to poke around on the machine and hope for the
best? That sounds likely.
Anyway it's good to have some support out there in the world of
Akai, and hopefully I'll learn a trick or two from yourselves.
Thanks for having me, Richard.

Dear Richard,
Thanks for your intro. backlight display is quite easy to fix. Manual:
there are some guys here who bought one from ebay. I'm still available
for scanning their manual & putting it on this site.
Regards,
Frank
