Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

hi guys!

I use my S1100 as a stand-alone FX box and i just love the sound of this thing.

However the signal to noise isn't great and I usually find myself treating the output signal to deal with the extra noise in the mix and this compromises the tone.

I'm looking into modifying this box to get a better signal to noise %.
anyone done this or have any good tips?

what i'm looking for is a simple cheap component swap to make a big difference. i don't want to change all the Caps/IC's/Converter chips.

in other words i'm not looking for high-end ultra low noise, i'm just looking for a substantial improvement.

any ideas?
