Thank you Frank! I removed the switch from an old AT power supply of a PC and checked the wires. After a couples of minutes I soldered the wires to the switch and...viola, it works! Now it's time to discover the S1000 ;-) Thanks for the help! -Alex --- In akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com, "formals777" <wafwaf@...> wrote: > > Hi, > I just opened my s1100 and I must say there is not much to see because the on/off switch is soldered on a PCB which is turned upside down. From what I can see is it a simple double pole switch. You only need a multimeter to measure the voltage on the cables. I guess that one of the cables has the incoming voltage. You just have to install another switch - which (mechanically) wont be that easy becayse of the big hole in the front. > I hope you know what you're doing because your working straight with 110 or 220V > > Rgds, > > Frank > > > > --- In akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com, "c6r6u6s6a6d6e6r" <shdoclcdll@> wrote: > > > > Here's a picture of how it currently looks like: > > > > http://img151.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p4201187.jpg > > > > The I/O switch is completely missing, next to the floppy drive. > > > > > > Thanks, > > -Alex > > > > --- In akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com, "c6r6u6s6a6d6e6r" <shdoclcdll@> wrote: > > > > > > Hello, > > > > > > I'm new to this group and want to say hello. > > > > > > A couple a days ago, I received the S1000 in a "bad" condition. > > > The main problem seems to be the I/O switch.
