Whew!!! Thats makes me feel alot better.
The thing with the 2 meg card is, it has a cap attached to it, and im not sure if removing that card might not make the other cards work.
I could take a picture of what im talking about. Otherwise id love to sell you a 2 meg card.

Don´t care on this, your audio isn´t affected by this behaviour.
Whining display inverters are quite common for technology of this age,- one of my AKAI samplers is whining since I got it new,- you know... :-)

have fun w/ your S1000 and be happy it works including all it´s functionality it was made for.
Otherwise, try to find the inverter for the display in a better condition... ,- good luck !
