IMO, the S-1100 is the best sounding Akai sampler, - especially if you play polyphonic. This is why the S-1100, in opposite to the S-1000 and all the other Akais, has dedicated DA-converters for each of its audio outputs and in addition, these are excellent Burr-Browne converters. The built-in FX do the rest, - delay and chorus is great, reverb is usable. And don\ufffdt forget the AES/EBU stereo output in addition, SMPTE-features and more ... I found a couple for sale here in Europe. Two S2000s and 1 S1000 going for about 100euros. Assuming the samplers are all in good working order would the S1000 be the one to get Vs the S2000? From what I see that seems to be. Br Allan
