Re: S1100 DD operation problem?

2007-05-01 by mikewolak

Hello All,

I know this thread is almost a year old but I too ran into errors trying to use the direct-to-
disk recording feature of the Akai S1100 to Zip Disk. Upon arming the take , the unit
displays the ambiguous message "HARDWARE CHANGE NEEDED FOR DD OPERATION" and
does not attempt the recording. Has anyone verifed that simply using a non-removable
SCSI disk fixes this problem?
