Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Hi there,
thanks for the answer but you really really sure it can't be done? 
there's people on the list who claimed some years ago of doing dd 
recording on zip using an S3000XL.

I have a spare scsi disk lying around, just wanted to be sure that it's 
a ZIP problem before mounting this old 'barracuda' inside an scsi ext 
case for trying dd.
