I don't have first hand experience with this particular model but I don't see any reason not to replace the old fan with a new one. I've done so on many occasions (samplers, old tektronix scopes, vintage computers etc). Unscrew the fan and see its electrical properties and then measure its size. Volts are what really matters. Current draw of the replacement will most probably be lower with the same or higher rpm. Choose a model with as little current draw as possible with the same rpm of the original. Even lower rpm should' t affect the air flow too much to cause an issue. Even with the same rpm rating you can safely expect the new fan to be almost quiet. You should be able to find a direct replacement even if the dimensions are not "standard".There are lots of models to choose from if you choose a reputable brand. I'd recommend noctua or papst fans. There are other brands as well though but these are well known for their quality.. If you're in Europe I'd search tme.eu. Ebay is also an option. Good luck. On 1/13/2018 12:34 PM, nils.stockman@...
