> Can you guys tell me what I can expect to pay and what a good deal would be? Thx SDS-V? OK, let's start to say what's out there. SDS-V came originally with 5 drum cards in the case and two blanks. These cards were bass, snare and 3x tom. Later Simmons made two more cards available; cymbal and hihat. Naturally, not everyone upgraded and these two are a hell lot harder to find. I know, 'cause I and Lasse had some sort of competition (at least it felt like that) to get the first complete unit. Mine came with a cymbal and he had a hihat... Anyway. The prices aren't really dropping and in Europe you should be prepared for a 5-card unit costing in the region of 300-600 euros. In the US they are a little cheaper normally... but so is the dollar so europeans tend to snatch some of them... I payed in the region of 350 including shipping from Germany for my 6-card unit. The hihat comes from a swiss wreck I bought at approx the same price. Of this, half of it resides in NY and half with Lasse except for the HH. And yes, the dealer kindly payed me almost the entire amount back 'cause he was so ashamed it wasn't working properly... So, decide what's important and browse the net... Good Luck, it's one cool machine! electronically yours, jesper www.electronic-obsession.se - -- --- ---- ----- ---- --- -- - Polyfoni \ufffdr \ufffdverskattat
