Re: [Simmons Drums] to have and to hold... or not

Keep the spurs of the bass drum. They are hard to get. Sell the bassdrum without the spurs.

  Boys,

I have for many years beaten the crap out of a set of SDS-8 pads along
with an original SDS-V bass drum. Now I'm putting together a set of pads
with real/mesh skins and plan to sell the hexagons, especially since
it's just SDS-8's and being a "Simmons God (tm)" I focus on older units.
  *haha*
But, my main concern/question is: Is it a bad idea to let the bass drum
go too? Maybe I'll get the idea one day to get a real SDS-V set and the
tom pads are both easier to ship and easier to come by one by one than
the bass drum. So, should I keep the bass drum "just in case"?
To use it together with the set I have now would be style murder. THe
plexiglass of the Pollards and the mahogny of the SDS-IV is OK together
in some weird way, but a heaxagon back spaceship with spurs below that
  would looke strange indeed.
  Views pleaaazzzzz...
