I might be mistaking, but isn't the switch for the TMI just for program 
changing? Though ought to work with just about anything... I haven't tested 
on mine I think, but I use a momentary double switch for my Roland SVC-350 
to just about anything in the studio (including killing the decay of the 
SDS-V hihat) without any problems...
