Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Hi!  I've had a 5 pad SDS9 kit since 1985(?).  Since that time several 
things have gone wrong.  I was hoping that some knowledgeable Simmons 
folks in this group could help.

1. The pads will sometimes double trigger the sound when I hit them.
2. The bottom piece of plastic on the snare pad doesn't want to lock 
into the top section - it keeps popping off
3. Whenever I turn the unit on, all of the leds light up and all of 
the drum sounds begin playing continuously. It's like there's a short 
somewhere within the electronics.  It doesn't seem to affect the 
unit's ability to trigger MIDI, however.  Since I use the kit to 
trigger MIDI samples, this isn't a showstopper for me. But I would 
like to fix this so I could use the actual Simmons sounds again.
