Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Hi,

I have just bought a used SDS-9. The surface of the pads has some 
sticky residue from old parcel tape, or something. Has anyone ever 
cleaned their pads with a detergent or any other chemical?

I want to be very cautious not to cause any discoloration or other 
damage, which I know can occur when using detergents.

Recommendations?
