buffers and an old beach boys song

buffers and an old beach boys song

2002-01-23 by M. Blake Wilson

sufficiently ambiguous subject?

the old beach boys tune is "shut down", which is what my DTG, DSG, and
CLK all do if
i feed positive voltage into them while they are already oscillating. in
other words, adding
CV where appropriate on these modules while they are internally patched
will cause
them to shut down at very high frequencies.

why? i assume there's some buffer that's doing it. after its "crashed",
so to speak, i can flip the
switch back on and it'll work for a couple seconds, then darkness both
literally and figuratively.

why? why? why? i'm sure its not a defect, but its not exactly a feature
either.

also: i need more trax for the SMOG2002 compilation, folks! i'm going
to do one final announcement here
and on AH within the next couple weeks, and if i don't have a full CD of
material (75 mins or so) i may
put the project on the back burner. lets go patchfreaks!
