cassettes that Serge folks did in the early 80's (?).
I would like to see what was done there ... it looks like a variety of
Serge-related stuff done independently & edited together to demonstrate what
Serges could do. I think I saw something in there about a demo tape that
covered the various modules one by one, with narration.

johnp is correct: my original message refers to the tapes that serge produced years ago, featuring several fine
artists demonstrating the serge. i will be transfering the tapes from cassette to harddisk, cleaning them up, and offering them
for sale at minimal cost (this is a nonprofit endeavor) on compact disc . i'm led to believe that licensing will not be a problem, in that
the artists relinquished their publishing/royalty rights at the initial production of the tapes. in any event i will be contacting some
of the more well known artists (michael stearns, alvin curran, etc) to make sure that this rerelease isn't inappropriate.

regarding a new "musician's tapes": well, who's going to do it? i'm more than willing to head the project, and have enough
equipment to see the project through to the end. so, i'm offering to handle the compilation/selection of tracks and the production
of the discs (CD-R), and the distribution thereof. i would ask that a graphix person (les mizzel?) take over the cover, titles, etc.
i think using a commercial 'homebrew" CD-R labeling kit would be appropriate for the budget...

steve d used to do the analog heaven CDs, and some were quite good.

thoughts? volunteers? bueller?
