Freq Shifter (Was: serge panel on ebay)

I had spoken to Serge about this in the early 80's. The Frequency Shifter (FRS) has a three space printed circuit board (PCB). On some panels, where a PCB had one less panel space than the front panel, and that module was next to the FRS, the FRS board could be shifted to take up the unused space. Perhaps the mixer PCB is such a case. Rex said he won't make any of these adjustments on new panels as they "are a pain to wire".

Hi all,

I'm curious as to whether anybody has ordered any panels

since October of last year and actually received them yet.

Especially, has anyone ordered a TKB since then and taken

delivery?

I ask because I ordered a 3 panel system last fall,

and am still waiting on the TKB (to say nothing of the

2 custom panels). I've spoken a number of times with Rex

and each time am assured "within the next week or so", but

nothing ever arrives...

I'm willing to be patient, but I'm also growing a tad concerned

that my patience is being used to provide time to fill other

orders while mine goes begging.
Drop me a line or post a response if you've got any insights

or helpful input on this. But please don't get Rex all stirred up,

as I understand the issues and if things are simply taking time,

that's fine. Its just that after this much time, I'd like to know if

somebody who's ordered after me has already received

their stuff... While the cheerfulness is abating a bit, I will

continue to wait, semi-cheerfully, until the goodies arrive ;-)

(Any Serge owners in the Twin Cities, btw?)

I have had a large system on order since December 2000. You are not alone.

I do know that you can get a Modcan system in a few weeks tho ;)

The last time I posted a 'comment' about the "long wait" to this
list.....Rex gave me a call the next day.........im sure somebody here will
give him your message. ;)

I will *try* to pick up my boxes in person when they r ready so I get a
better Idea what is going on b4 the 'next' order.

Hey all, just a quick update. As
predicted, Rex called the day after this
exchange appeared.
Long story short, the TKB is now in my
hands, and the two custom panels are
due "by end of August".
I'll keep you posted ;-)
