That's a sweet little piece o' music, Blake - thanks for sharing. Was thatthanks and yes, it live to 2 track.
all done live?
none at all. because each of the three sequences can be of different lengths, there is no "automatic reset to step one" when changing patterns, which can result in unwanted/unexpected results...you just have to be prepared and plan accordingly.
That track illustrates why I'm interested in the MAQ: interactivity and
multiple loop lengths. Unless my ears deceive me. But some have said that
the MAQ has some MIDI sync problems; have you hit any?
its an arcane labeling system, that suprisingly becomes second nature super quickly. there are 8 buttons
My main goal with the MAQ now is to get my hands on one for a few hours. I
am put off by its reliance on menus and multi-function buttons - something
I dislike - but it's possible they did it right.
that give you quick access to menus which are only one level deep, usually with around 10 settings per button. again, i find it a very easy device to learn/program/enjoy.hey jim if you want to play a couple of them come on down to san diego this weekend! art and i will be
doing more music like "persistance of memory".b.
