The standard Serge power supply uses a linear Condor or similar
unit, carefully adjusted to +/- 12V.
Modern switching units MAY be ok but the cheap ones throw out tons of noise and have mediocre regulation.
A good off-the-shelf linear unit is not expensive and performs much better.

Hi-
Would anyone like to recommend power supply replacements for older units (terminal strips/cinch-jones style)?
Are switching supplies alright?
Thanks for any help-
