Re: Touch Envelope Voltage Source

2009-03-17 by Carlos

Not sure this will help or confuse more but from REX last time I asked (I am going to call him soon to clarify about multiple triggering on the left side, and to see if the sequencer ont he right side can work independently of the 8 transients)

On the [TEV]:

This mates 8 of the [DTG]s with the sequencer section of the [TKB] so that the triggering of a complete cycle of each DTG can be initiated by either touching the associated key PAD
#1-8 or by the externally clocking the onboard sequencer. The use of the patch programmable RESET points and GATE outs make this very deep in the interaction of ASR generation.

This graphic shows the black jacks as the 'input' (one per
envelope) for external 'sustain' gating & recursive operations. So these will oscillate and track other signals at this input, as your SIG INs do on the DTGs (with that option) and our DSGs.

The other option in that jack location (x8) is the use of blue jacks for VC of the total time of each envelope. This can also be used as a log thru linear thru exponential shaper of the each independent envelope's response characteristic.

Stages #9-16 on the right half of the [TEV] are there to be assigned to your 'other' DSGs, DTGs, SSGs & DADSRs for triggering and presetting of their CV inputs for sequence programming of their independent segments and timing functions.

The [TEV] is there to work in conjunction with your [TKB] for true "two fisted" tactile control over your sound and control networks.

Does that mean you can use this as eight parallel envelope followers? I don't suppose you can use these like eight miniature DSG-style transient generators --- that would be pretty sick.
