No pips in my 2002 vintage NTO. This is probably something that can be
adjusted with a trim pot. It doesn't have anything to do with the power
supply. I don't have any PCOs to measure.
My NTO sine does have a slight flattening/assymetry of the waveform, but
all waveshaped sines tend to exhibit this.
