In the USA I've noticed it will cause hum if not earthed more
easily , but the U.S. electrical system is less sturdy than here -
especially in (dis)regard to earthing .
When I connect my Fenix up , I earth that to the Serge power supply
& it has always been fine . I guess it depends what earthing & earth
loops your studio has already.
