Jim,
I'm new to this list and I don't currently own a Serge system. I used to work for Serge in
Hollywood back in the late seventies.
If what you're asking for is the patch cords, the Pomona cords are of the best quality. We
used to supply a "make-it-yourself" patchcord kit around 1977 that quickly was discontinued
because the loss in quality wasn't worth the increase in savings.
If you're asking about the jacks themselves, there were three different kinds in use while I
worked there. The older style was a metal sleeve which a plastic top was threaded onto, and fixed
behind the panel with a lockwasher and nut. Later on we switched to a very cheap banana jack
which had an inner sleeve that would rotate sometimes in the plastic casing. This was attached
behind the panel with a star washer alone. Again the quality of this was not worth the savings
and it was dumped. Eventually we switched to a less expensive jack more like the first one
described. It was a plastic threaded outer sleeve which accepted the lockwasher and nut behind
the panel and had a metal sleeve firmly embedded inside.
I don't know who the manufacturer was on any of these items.

<Can anyone tell me who manufactures the banana jacks used in the Fenix and
Serge? And if anyone has any pros and cons on any particular banana
manufacturer?>
