New Piezography Website, New Manual

New Piezography Website, New Manual

2016-09-28 by Walker Blackwell

Hello folks.

Jon and I relaunched http://piezography.com today.

There's a ton of helpful information up there and more on its way.

For Piezography users, we've included a download archive of all our curves, a new 2016 manual that deals with all things QTR and Piezo related, and new 21step targets and workflows for a host of devices and software.

We'll be updating the Piezography blog and the curve archive and the instructions and manuals continually from this point forward including an upcoming Piezography Pro edition release with linearization and tuning tools.

I hope this serves you all well.

Warm regards,
Walker

Just added The Piezography Manual 2016 Edition to the Windows version of our Piezography curves archive. Sorry to all those who downloaded it today and saw it missing. It’s there now.

best,
Walker

Hi Walker,
The new version of piezography.com is really, really cool, thanks!
About the "Piezography-Community-Edition.dmg" download. I had already the folder "piezography" after the piezoDN install. What are exactly the new/others files in this dmg and in which folders?

Thanks again for your great work.
Best
Anthony

The new files are piezo curves and installers for a ton of printers, 21step targets for an expanded set of devices. Much of it is similar to your PiezoDN installl but this is free (not deluxe manual and PiezoDN tools) and is for anyone who has Piezography ink.

Best,
Walker

Walker, It seems the Piezography Manual 2016 Edition is still missing (or missing again for some reason) from the Windows download. Just now downloaded the package I cannot find the manual.

oof. I had to re-reference the zip in the download software. So sorry again.

I just did a validation download and it’s there. Size went from approx 38MB to 149MB on the zip file.

best,
Walker

Thanks for getting the manual included (again :-))

Maybe it's just me, but why is the PDF document formatted with a physical page size of 14.22 x 10.39 inches with two logical pages/physical page? When printing to Letter size paper this requires significant reduction in size to fit, and the text, pictures, diagrams etc. become very difficult to read. (I prefer to have printed output for documents like this) I think it would be a more useful document if formatted/sized for normal Letter size output.

My two cents.

It is built to be printed on 11x14 paper for a book so if you laser print it on that paper it will look amazing and it will fold.

best,
Walker

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
