Looks to me as though neither the P400 nor P600 have a replaceable waste ink tank like the P800 does. Not sure what this means exactly in terms of YMMV

Recent info on the internet seems to indicate that Epson has recently started moving the firmware problem down to the P600 and P400. 3880 Never been used.

Actually we consider these printers about equal. P800 may have a leg up in terms of quality (and parts availability) but they are essentially the same printer
