Model 10 Output Question

Model 10 Output Question

2006-11-11 by John

I'm curious about the Sawtooth Output on the M10. It looks like it would
be good for "rising" types of patches but what if you run it through an
inverter? Would that give you another quick attack envelope? Also, what
would determine it's shape? For instance the main out has a toggle for
expo/linear response.
BTW, the soundbite on the M10 page doesn't work! I'm curious to hear it.

    Regards,
    John

John,

If you run the Sawtooh output through an inverter it would
convert to an all-decay signal from a rising one. Keep in mind you
may have to offset it to the positive scale to keep it from going
FROM ground TO negative voltage, which may not open some brands of
VCAs. You may need to to go FROM positive then decreasing TO ground. A
Model 14 can do that invert and offset for you.

Our ISP is doing some system maintenence this weekend. We will not be
able to upload to the site until Monday and we will get to this
broken link immediately.

Thanks,
Tim J
