(Possible) changes...

All, There is a possibility that ove the next few months Plan B may be switching from usinf Cliff jacks for it's I/O sockets to Switchcraft. type. I'm looking into some spiffy options to dress these up a bit. So if we go this route, it'll be...um...spiffy. The main reason for doing this is cost and availability The price of Cliff Jacks has more than doubled over the last few weeks in the US...and the lead time almost tripled. It has been reported to me that this increase is not due to ROHS - its due to the cost of copper going through the roof (although other manufacturers have not accounted copper as a problem, and they also use copper!!!). I have two options - either raise my product prices to cover this rather large increase (you can imagiine how many of these things we use) -or- or switch to an equally if not more reliable and cost efficient component without a price increase. Sort of a no brainer if you ask me. I'll keep you posted on this as it develops. - P
