Venti in a suitcase

Venti in a suitcase

2006-03-06 by Robair, Gino

That's very exciting news!
One request, Peter: please try to make sure it'll fit into the Doepfer
suitcase (depth-wise). I've had problems lately where module boards and
ribbon cables begin to pile up in the suitcase causing a space issue with
the power boards/parts of the case. Solving the problem is easy -- just
relocate individual modules when this happens. But that won't be the
solution for an 84 HP modules. Even if the Milton has a lot going on behind
the panel, I hope it'll fit comfortably in the suitcase...

Just a suggestion.
:-)

A fantastic suggestion at that. I second this request.

Re: Venti in a suitcase

i gotcha covered on that.

I don't see the Milton, either Venti or Grande being more than 2
or so inches deep, if that. The main electronics, pots, LEDS.
toggle and tact swtiches are all going to be mounted to a single
board that sits about 5/8's of an inch behind and resting parallel
to the faceplate - like Buchla and Cwejman do it. The other
componentry will use jack boards, much like the ones currently
used on the VCO and FIlter. So I'm saying 2 inches - this should
be worst case, even if you want a lot of foam and extra caramel.

Did anyone get that?
