The Mini Milton wasn't a replacement. .it was meant to be an
augmentation of existing sequencers you guys might have. Two
sequential sources open amazing possibilities. I wanted to facilitate
a way for this to happen easily.

There's also an interesting story behind the functionality offered in
the Mini:
The 21C contains all the functionality currently burnt into the Milton
microprocessor. Everything it does we've got working. There are some
features to it's big brother the Venti which have not yet been
finalized, namely the pulse banks and the VC gate time algorithms. The
Mini doesn;t need these functions. It could in effect be feleased
immediately, but instead it's release at worse case wi;l preempt the
release of the M21 by maybe a month.

The M21 will run somewhere over $1,000, but not much more over that.
It'll be well worth the outlay. The 21C will be surprisingly
affordable, probably not much more than our current average module cost.

After this...after all the modules in the new series are out, after
the M16 and M18 and the Miltons in early 2009 what what we need to get
to then are the missing links: a Panner, a Midi to CV Converter and
the Delay. I really love our delay, I am not so set on it being a
Berhinger mounted under a Plan B faceplate however. I want to do it
right and my gut feeling is that isn't the right way to go about it.

I've spent time recently on the way to/from work envisioning the
functionality of the Panner. It will be Micro based and will probably
utilize the square root curve currently the state of the art among MAX
MSP users. There will be an internal VC'able spinner, another control
for the depth of that spin (also externally controllable) , along with
an input for external panning control not associated with spinning.
It'll probably only be stereo, as I don't feel 5.1 is sufficiently
supported among synthesizers users. I also don't see Quad as an
option. It's cool, but it's dead as disco as far as it's reproduction
in recorded media.

The Gate delay....not in any big hurry for that now. Gate delays are
possible with our M10's, and with the Miltons once they're out. I
will readdress this situation at a later date, but I'm pretty
confident that I won't worry about that one until the rest of the
arsenal is in production.

I was beginning to think that the mini milton was going to take the
model 21 altogether. What is the projected price of the grade and
venti versions of the model 21?
