Model 16 info

Model 16 info

2008-02-15 by charlie_visnic

Just wanted to check in and see what the status might be for the model 16. I am seriously
looking forward to this module.

Re: Model 16 info

The Model 16 is on the bench, on hold temporarily as we're waiting for
the second lot of PCBs to arrive (there were some problems with the
first, althogugh those were only prototype quantities and to be
expected with a product this complex). The delay is due to Chinese
New Year...the plant is closed down and has been for two weeks. It's
back on line as of Monday, along with the completion of those PCBs.

In short, the Model 16 is going into the first article product status
in about 10 days.

Over that, we are very busily working on the Model 30, along with the
first ELF offerings which now number over five products for the
initial release. It's coming down to the wire on all these. Spring is
going to be very productive for us.

Other surprises as well...All good things!

Re: case

Oh man, actually it doesn't tie to equal rack units. Some of the
modules were made the width they were especially to fill up the row,
so they don't even tie to Doepfer width standards.

My suggestion: go the EAR performance system section of the EAR site
and work out the math on the products there which do conform to D.
standards ( i think the topw row is good for that), then divide by 84
(HP).

SOrry I can't be of more help on this.

Is this the case you have been mentioning lately? The one you will be
selling some time in the future? or is it a completely different case?

Id love a double case that i could go anywhere with :)

Nope!

sorry!

We're working on a desktop case in two different flavors and something
else which will be coming out sooner than that.

The Zero cases would be really cool, but really expensive. Out of the
box from Zero with nothing in them they are close to $400 my cost.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
