Dear Clear, I appreciate your assistance, but this part number is not in the Cliff catalog. It was a temporary part number used three years ago when they originally found the problem with the standard part. They assigned a temporary p/n as a means of not contaminating new inventory. Cliff USA assured me the 1384 have been redesigned. Please also be aware that I purchased about 500 jacks form Dieter not too long ago and they were 1384's. I've been this through all, many many times! In any event, Andy, the president of Cliff has sent me a letter, he's very concerned about this and is communicating with their manufacturing people in Hong Kong. More info when Im able. - P --- In PLAN_B_analog_blog@yahoogroups.com, "clearmountainskies" <edgewood@...> wrote: > > > We're not buying old jacks. > ... > >It seems we're getting bad CL1384 jacks > > You're buying "old" jacks in the sense that Doepfer buys a different > part number now, "CL13841", that come from the factory with the > tension already adjusted.
