I find it very interesting that you're calling something a clone that you have not seen. The Serge Dual Slope Generator is a voltage follower/slew limiter which has the internal patching to double as a EG. My unit is based on my VCO circuit. It is non-retriggerable - a true A/R generator. But in regards to your comparison- where's the dedicated saw output on 'your' Serge VCS? Where is the End of Attack pulse out? The Timebase controls? The tri-mode contour control? The external cycle enable input? Can the SergeVCS pul 20 minute cycles form faceplate settings alone? In any event, what you're calling a clone here is nothing more than a partial list functional similarities at best. But actually, you're right. The Model 10 is a clone...of the Model 15 VCO core with a whole slew (pardon the pun) of changes - switchable instead of hardwired reset into the flyback , fixed symmetry current regulation resistors replaced with pots, internal self freq VC used for contour bending, an adaptation of sawtooth shaper used for the ramp out. - P --- In PLAN_B_analog_blog@yahoogroups.com, "denshiblocks" <denshiblocks@...> wrote: > > > polyphonic envelope is also a dandy name for a clone of Serge's > Universal Slope Generator > > i call mine the Bananalogue Serge VCS, and its already availible and > shipping > > seth nemec > bananalogue.com > > > > --- In PLAN_B_analog_blog@yahoogroups.com, "cuari7" <cuari7@> wrote: > > > > Peter: > > > > It is fine and dandy that you guys are keeping yourselves busy with > > new model designs and what not, but I also think you should devote > > equal amounts of effort (or more) to finishing and shipping modules > > to your customers, especially those of us who placed orders more > > than one year ago!! > > I personally would never again consider ordering anything from you > > (no matter how fancy you describe it to be) unless I see delivery of > > the stuff I ordered (and paid in full!) in March of 2005. > > > > Jesus Diaz, aka cuari > > > > > > --- In PLAN_B_analog_blog@yahoogroups.com, Peter Grenader > > <peter@> wrote: > > > > > > > > > Yo to all. > > > > > > Over the past few weeks, the EAR consortium folk have been busily > > developing > > > a custom performance system for a band some of you may have heard > > of - their > > > acronym being very close to the number which falls between 8 and > > 10. > > > > > > While this instrument was being conceived, it was obvious that > > some product > > > development would be required as essential components from what we > > > considered to be a complete system were missing from our stable. > > > > > > Not all of these new devices will be released to market as they > > are highly > > > specialized, not so much in function but more due to their > > > configuration...but many will be released, and I I'm happy to > > announce that > > > the first of these - The Plan B Polyphonic Envelope. > > > > > > Polyphonic? whu? > > > > > > Go here to have a look: > > > > > > http://www.ear-group.com/model_10.html > > > > > > The Model 10 should be available at our dealers in about a month's > > time, > > > therebouts. > > > > > > Keep your eyes on the EAR site over the next couple of weeks as > > more devices > > > born from this development effort are brought to > > market...especially from > > > the Livewire line. > > > > > > More Plan B News: > > > > > > Quick updates on other Plan B new product development efforts - > > The Model 14 > > > Dual Processor should be available in three or so weeks The PCBs > > are in, as > > > are the components, we are waitng for faceplates.
