Assuming that you are replying to a previous message where I said:

I wasn't speaking about the difference between analog and digital, but  
between the difference between a software scope that uses whatever  
audio inputs may be available, and a hardware scope that has dedicated  
calibrated inputs.

Many hardware scopes are digital these days, and are really good.
